SIERRA VISTA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER ELECTS FIVE NEW BOARD MEMBERS

    A prominent local physician and four leaders of industry in San Luis Obispo County have been nominated for service on the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center Governing Board. Each was elected to a three-year term.
Additionally, David Juhnke, managing partner of San Luis Obispo law firm Sinsheimer Juhnke Lebens & McIvor, was elected to a second term as President of the Sierra Vista Governing Board.
The five community members elected to the Sierra Vista Board include: 

    Rene Bravo, MD has been practicing pediatrics in San Luis Obispo County since 1988. One of the most recognized doctors in the area, he is a founding member of the Children’s Health Initiative of San Luis Obispo County, a Commissioner of the First Five Children’s and Families Commission of San Luis Obispo County, serves on the Board of the Women’s Shelter of San Luis Obispo County, Chair of the California Medical Association Pharmacy Technical Advisory Committee, on the Board of CalPac (the California Medical Association’s Political Action Committee) and a current board member of the San Luis Obispo County Medical Association. He has also won honors and been recognized on the national, state and local level for his advocacy work with children.
  
    Michael Morris is an attorney and Chairman of the Board of the prestigious law firm Andre, Morris & Buttery. He has been with the firm since 1972. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of California. Morris also serves as a Chairman of the Board of Heritage Oaks Bank. Current community volunteer activities include Board of Trustees, Diocese of Monterey Foundation and Board of Directors and Counsel for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Advisory Council. He was the 2005 recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award by the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce and he also serves on the Georgetown University Alumni Interviewer Committee.
  

    Pat Mullen is Director of Government Relations with Pacific Gas & Electric Company, the largest private employer in San Luis Obispo County. In that position he is responsible for supporting the company’s permitting and governmental relations efforts for its generation sources, including new power plants and power contracts for traditional and renewable power sources. His community involvement includes serving as an elected trustee for Cuesta College, the San Luis Obispo Community College District; on the boards of the United Way of San Luis Obispo County and as a member of Rotary Club of San Luis Obispo de Tolosa. He is also a past Board member of the San Luis Obispo Economic Vitality Corporation and the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce.

    Anita Robinson is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mission Community Bancorp and CEO of Mission Community Bank. She is also President and CEO of its subsidiary Mission Community Development Corporation, and the non-profit affiliate Mission Community Services Corporation in San Luis Obispo. Her present affiliations include 2007-2008 Chairman of the California Bankers Association, treasurer of the Economic Opportunity Commission of San Luis Obispo County, member of the Board of Directors of the Economic Forecast Project of San Luis Obispo County, Board of Directors of Pacific Coast School of Banking at the University of Washington, San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund Board member and past Chair, Cuesta College Foundation Board. In 2006 Robinson was awarded with the Champion for Women in Business by the U.S. Small Business Association. 

    Kris Yetter is General Manager and President of Promega Biosciences of San Luis Obispo. Prior to that she was Director of Finance and Administration at Promega. Yetter serves on the Board of Directors of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Regents of Mission College Prep High School in San Luis Obispo. She was also a founding Board member of Women for Community as well as serving as President of the Mission Prep Parent Association.
