Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center is part of Tenet California. This 165-bed facility is one of two Tenet hospitals in San Luis Obispo County. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is licensed by the state of California.

Specialties

The Birth Center at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center provides a comprehensive range of obstetric and infant services. The center includes labor-delivery-recovery (LDR) suites and a community-level newborn nursery, and a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). We also provide a full-service pediatric unit. The NICU is an intensive care nursery certified by California Children's Services. Our neonatologists are on site and provide 24-hour coverage. The dedicated nursing staff has experience in regular and high-risk birth and pediatric care.

Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center offers comprehensive rehabilitation services that include acute inpatient as well as outpatient programs. Patient centered, family-oriented care is offered for clients whose diagnoses include neurological disorders, orthopedic surgeries, spinal cord and brain injury, stroke, arthritis and oncology. Additionally we have recently opened a new cardio-vascular surgery program, a cardio-vascular ICU and an acute care heart unit.
