Kurt Haupt, MD
Gynecology

Dr. Kurt Haupt is a Board Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who began his practice in San Luis Obispo in 1982 and is a founding physician of Central Coast ObGyn. During this time he is pleased to have helped many thousands of women in having healthy newborns. He has also provided medical and surgical care to tens of thousands of Central Coast women.

Dr. Haupt graduated from Fordham University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and was awarded First Honors in his graduating class.  He attended New York Medical College and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency at North Shore University Hospital where he was Chief Resident in 1981 and 1982.  

Since starting his practice in San Luis Obispo he has participated in extensive postgraduate  training in women’s health. While maintaining an active practice in the full range of women’s health, including normal and high risk obstetrics, he has had a special interest in outpatient and minimally invasive approaches to gynecological problems.

He has extensive experience and expertise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and is a leader and innovator in introducing these advanced techniques to the Central Coast.  He is the Founder and Director of the Urogynecology Laboratory at Central Coast ObGyn and is the Director of Bone Densitometry for the detection and management of osteoporosis.

Christopher Johnson, MD
Urology

Dr. Johnson completed his undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical education at Cornell University and completed his surgical and urologic training at The New York Presbyterian Hospital - Columbia University Campus. He received his board certification by The American Board of Urology and became a fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2006.

Craig Canfield, MD
Urology

Dr. Canfield completed his medical education at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, Texas. He then attended the UCLA Medical Center to complete his surgery and urology residencies. Dr. Canfield received his certification by the American Board of Urology in 1995.

Hugh B. Perkin, MD

Urology

Dr. Perkin completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego. He received his medical degree at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He subsequently completed his urology training at The Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center. He is currently undergoing certification with the American Board of Urology.

 

Dr. Howard Hayashi completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Irvine. He received his medical education at the University of California, Davis, where he also completed his residency and general surgery training. Dr. Hayashi became a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery in 1989 and served as Chief of Surgery at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center from 2000-2002.

Edwin Hayashi, MD
General Surgery

Dr. Edwin Hayashi completed his undergraduate degree in physiology at the University of California, Davis. He received his medical education at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed his residency and general surgery training. Dr. Hayashi became a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners in 1991. He is licensed by the Medical Board of California and has published numerous research papers.  

David Bolivar, MD

General Surgery

 

Dr. David Bolivar completed his undergraduate degree at La Sierra University in Riverside, California. He received his medical education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency and general surgery training. Dr. Bolivar is a member of the American College of Surgeons and The Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

 

 

Winston Anderson, MD

General Surgery

 

Dr. Anderson completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas. He received his medical education at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans and completed his residency and general surgery training at U.S.C. Medical Center. Dr. Anderson is board certified in general and peripheral vascular surgery. He received his board certification by The American Board of Surgery and became a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also has been a member of the Associated Surgeons of San Luis Obispo since 1976.
