Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center is expanding. Construction is officially underway on a new medical office building. The state-of-the-art facility will be located on-campus, adjacent to the new 523 space parking structure.

Once complete, the three-story building will add 45,000 square feet of medical office space to the Central Coast community.  In addition, the facility is expected to include other healthcare related amenities such as outpatient services.

Building is expected to be complete by the end of the year, with move in dates set for the beginning of 2010.  Currently, the building is about 50-percent preleased, with several other leases pending.

The completion of the parking structure last year means that construction will have minimal impact on the operations of the hospital. Patients, physicians and employees will continue to have full access to the structure and are encouraged to utilize it.
