Employee Leadership Awards

Two employees were recognized for their outstanding leadership while another was honored for 40 years of service as Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center recently recognized more than 80 employees at its annual Employee Service Awards Dinner.

The 2008 Sierra Vista Leadership Awards went to Julie Williams, a physical therapist and Rose Racho, RN., nursing educator. Both were cited for: exemplifying leadership qualities and behavior work that motivates others; demonstrating self-confidence; finding creative solutions; demonstrating good communication skills, the ability to inspire others; a desire to lead; ability to make decisions; and, for having a positive influence on others.

Carol Ann Moyes, in charge of payroll and accounts payable, was honored for 40 years of service at Sierra Vista, now in its 50th year of operation. In all, 78 other employees were recognized for years of service ranging from five to 35.

Bob Westrom, director of laboratory services, was presented with the Outstanding Leader of the Year for his overall leadership of both the laboratory and the conversion of Sierra Vista’s core clinical system which took nearly a year to implement. Pohlian Tan, contracts administrator, was selected Sierra Vista’s Safeguarding Hero for her work in the area of corporate compliance.
